Gec-co are pleased to have confirmed a trade agreement with Dimplex, giving us access to their wide range of ground and air source heat pumps, and Dimplex’s comprehensive design and technical support and back up.

The Ground Source portfolio includes a range of High Temperature heat pumps ideal for retrofit and radiator applications. These are offered in 4,6,9 and 11kw configurations covering most domestic applications. These units are MCS accredited, eligible for RHPP payments, and for inclusion in the RHI scheme when it is confirmed.

Interestingly when we thought that Air Source systems were taking over from Ground Source installations, the last half of 2011 saw a revival of Ground Source contracts. In fact in the last quarter we contracted more ground source systems than air source. We put this down to customers realisation that Ground Source offer better efficiencies than the Air Source alternatives, and the limited number of companies who offer many years of ground source experience.

Gec-co have now installed eight Panasonic Aquarea T/Cap Air Source Heat Pumps with impressive results. These models maintain output capacity even down to -15 degrees outside temperatures. Our engineers report that installation is simpler than other manufacturers, and that the performance of the systems on underfloor heating and radiators is also superior to competitors systems. The quality of the Aquarea is what is to be expected from a Panasonic brand. In early 2012 Panasonic introduced a high temperature version, ideal for retrofit situations.
